Bakso is commonly made from finely ground beef and added chicken for flavouring with a small quantity of tapioca flour, garlic and salt.
Bakso are usually served in a bowl of beef broth, with yellow noodles, bihun (rice noodle) or soun (glass noodle), Bok Choy vegetables, bean sprout, tofu, egg (wrapped within bakso), sprinkled with fried shallots ,celery and slice of lime and sambal if you desire.
Slices of bakso are often used and mixed as complements in Mie Goreng, Nasi Goreng, or Cap Cai recipes.
