Tekwan is traditional fish ball soup from Palembang, Indonesia. The fish balls are made into a dough using fish and tapioca mflour similar to Pempek. These are then presented in a shrimp broth, served with glass noodles, black mushroom, sliced white radish, lily flowers and sprinkled with sliced fresh chives, fried shallot and chopped cucumber with some lemon juice if desired.
Some versions use prawns as a broth ingredient.
